So today as I made my first search this morning and to my surprise, I finally won a prize from Blingo.com. It’s a Movie Ticket! :)
My brother also gets a movie ticket as well since he referred me to Blingo. As you might have seen, he’s already won movie tickets five times. I’m not even sure if we’ll get this one though since we’ve already sent two tickets to my house this month and this win would be a third one (they say they only allow two prizes per month per household, but it seems like it’s more like two prizes per blingo account, so we’ll see).

Newell then dropped an even bigger bombshell by showing off Team Fortress 2. Those familiar with Valve’s history know that Team Fortress 2 was an ambitious multiplayer action game that was supposed to come out after the original Half-Life. However, the game quietly disappeared after years of development, and it was assumed that Valve dropped the project.
Well, Team Fortress 2 is back and will be included with Episode Two, and it looks like nothing else on the market. Newell explained that Valve wanted to make this action game distinct, so the graphics (which use the Source engine) look like a Pixar-animated movie.
After years…and years…and years…of development at Valve, Team Fortress 2 will finally be released. Reported by Gamespot and CS-Nation, Team Fortress 2 will arrive with the release of Half-Life 2: Episode 2. This is the news that fans have been waiting for since 1998 when it was announced at E3. Long thought of as vaporware like Duke Nukem Forever and the Phantom game console for the last 6 years, this is a welcome surprise and a big step for the resurgence of the Team Fortress-style of gameplay after becoming overshadowed by Counter-Strike in recent years.
I have always loved playing Team Fortress Classic for the original Half-Life and continue to do so. It’s probably been 4 years since I last thought Team Fortress 2 would ever be made and I never expected it to get first-party support from Valve themselves. Hopefully it can regain the magic and popularity it had garnered in it’s heyday and become one of the most popular mods alongside Counter-Strike: Source and Day of Defeat: Source.
[Update] A new teaser trailer for Team Fortress 2 has been posted.
You too can pretend you are Desmond/Eko/Locke and “press the button” in the Lost hatch every 108 minutes! Remeber the numbers are 4 8 15 16 23 42, or the huge magnet will suck in another poor airplane!
