We rejoin our happy group of escapees for another exciting week of Prison Break. As we saw last week, Michael and Lincoln were unable to save LJ from going to jail, Captain Bellick was fired from his job, and T-Bag’s magic hand was fixed by Dr. Gudat. This week, we delve into the escape of C-Note and Sucre as well as the return of a major character from season 1 (and a minor one returns as well).

As predicted, C-Note, Sucre, and Abruzzi split up soon after leaving Michael and go their separate ways. This leaves us with everyone by themselves with Michael and Lincoln as the last group. We still haven’t seen Haywire yet, but considering he was such a minor character in season 1 I’d expect that. On the other hand, C-Note expectedly returns to his home so he can be with his wife and daughter and Sucre heads home to New York to stop the marriage between his cousin Hector and Maricruz. Amazingly, time flies so fast in the show that it seems like it took 15 minutes for Sucre (aka Mr. Miller) to get from Oswego, Illinois all the way to New York. Then he takes his cousin’s motorbike to go all the way to Las Vegas. Not to mention that he probably doesn’t have enough money to pay for the gas to get there.

Speaking of Sucre, his cousin Manche “Humpty Dumpty” Sanchez makes his first appearance in season 2. If you don’t remember, he’s the guy who didn’t make it over the wall and nearly sent Michael back to prison. Although if I were him, I guess I would give up their plan instead of being cell-mates with “Avocado” x(. Anyway, he spills the beans on Michael’s destination to Bellick and his new “buddy” Geary.

As it turns out, after a brief scuffle between the two in a convenient store while picking up his teriyaki beef jerky, they become buddies once again. This time they are out for the reward for the “Fox River Eight”. I found it a bit odd that they became buddies so fast after both being fired, but I guess it’s the reward money and the scorn Michael put on them that drives them to team up. However the thing that really bothered me about these two is how they found Michael and Lincoln so fast. I understand that “Humpty Dumpty” gave them up, but I doubt Michael told him about their secondary escape plan if Abruzzi’s plane fell through.

If you were wondering what the title of the episode “Scan” means, it refers to the radio station scan feature used to detonate the car. Once it hits 103.7, it explodes giving Michael and Lincoln time to get to Mexico before the police can identify who actually got blown up.

Little bit of an anticlimactic ending to the episode, but I’ll definately be looking forward to the next one this coming Monday. Will we ever see Haywire? Do we get to see what happens to Abruzzi? Who is Oscar Shales? Stay tuned. (cheer)
