Prison Break makes its return after taking a 3 week hiatus for the MLB playoffs (
@ St. Louis Cardinals). Fortunately this episode was worth the wait because it is probably the best episode of the season. We start off this week with Sucre taking hostage of Michael, C-Note, and T-Bag by holding them at gunpoint. Proceeding leave with the money, we follow what everyone will do and what Lincoln will do to help save his son LJ. Lastly we find out what Agent Mahone is up to and what he’ll do next.
The suspense and puzzle-solving is finally getting back into the swing of things before Prison Break goes on its winter hiatus at the end of November. Next week, we’ll see a continuation of what happens to C-Note and T-Bag, if Dr. Tancredi figures out what to do without the last crane, and where Michael goes after splitting up with Sucre.

As the season begins to pick up momentum, we finally begin to resolve some of the questions. This week we break away from Jack, Sawyer, and Kate and return to the beach where we find out what happened after the hatch was destroyed when Desmond turned the key at the conclusion of season 2 with a Locke-centered episode. Generally this one is more on the strange side dealing with mystical premonitions and hokey magic. I felt this one took an extra viewing of the episode to really get a sense of what the symbolism meant (also because I was switching back and forth between Lost and the Mets vs. Cardinals game
)
This episode was probably the best of the season. Mostly because Locke, Hurley, and Mr. Eko are some of my favorite characters on the show and we see too much of Jack, Kate, and Sawyer. Considering Locke is the only “leader” left on the beach, I like the new dynamic of the camp and it’ll be interesting how Desmond fits into the plan for rescuing Jack and company. Next week’s episode (although I’m writing this recap a little bit late so the next one is for the curent week’s episode) goes back to mainly focusing on Sawyer, but the development of Desmond at the beach. The season to this point hasn’t been all that strong, but hopefully in the weeks to come before they go on hiatus in mid-November it’ll pick up.

After a somewhat lackluster premiere episode last week, Lost comes back with a pretty decent Sun and Jin centered episode. As we saw last week, Jack, Sawyer, and Kate have been captured by the Others. We also got to see a little bit into the life of an “Other” with their lifestyle, facilities, and that the fake Henry Gale’s name is actually “Ben”. So far I don’t really see a reason what the Others want to do with them, but hopefully they have some reason to keep them captive other than forcing them to waste time doing nothing.
Next week we finally get back to the main beach where our other main characters will make their first appearance of the season. When we finally see what happened at the site of the hatch we will figure out who survives and who lives. Let’s hope that Mr. Eko is still there and that the show will recapture the mystery of the first two seasons by revealing some of the many secrets that have built up so far. The show is getting better, but still not up the the caliber of quality as in season 1.
I haven’t posted anything besides recaps, so today I decided to take a little break from them for a few days. Anyway, I received my first official prize that I’ve won from Xfire with two more on the way. So far I haven’t tried out the Sword of the Stars game yet, but it looks pretty cool. It’s signed by the developers of the game so it makes it special immediately. As a result from attending so many of the chats they actually offered me a paid position as an Xfire Chat Helper in all the upcoming developer chats! I won’t get to win any more prizes, but it’s a nice to help them out and mute all those raucous spammers that ruin the chats (I might also get some free stuff anyway
)
In other news, you might have noticed that the Lost recaps are starting up while Prison Break is on hiatus. I’m also watching a pretty good show called Heroes that is about people that realize that they have super powers that they will need to use to save New York from being hit by a huge explosion some time in the near future. I won’t be doing recaps for those since I like to wait at least until the second season of a show to get a feel for it before writing about it.
Soon I’ll put up my worklog of building my new desktop also. I just don’t have that much time to edit all the photos and write stuff up with work and all, but one day I’ll get it done. Just for a quick synopsis it’s powered by a Core 2 Duo e6400, 2gb of DDR2 RAM, and an MSI 7900gt. Because I haven’t had time to write it (and also that my recaps are released a little late in comparison to when the show actually airs), here’s a video of someone’s rendition of Michael Jackson’s Thriller using Legos.
