Lost Episode 1 “A Tale of Two Cities” Recap

Stop bumping into the plexiglass wall!

As the last of the Fall 2006 premieres arrive, Lost finally makes it’s debut for season 3. Most of you probably remember that last season Jack, Kate, and Sawyer were captured by “The Others” while Hurley was sent back to camp and Michael and Walt went off in a boat out into the ocean. Although all the other major characters are listed in the credits as usual, it’s probably fitting that we only get to see the “big three” characters interacting with “The Others” as this season begins. Hopefully as the rest of the characters get into the mix, this season will be as good as the past two.

I was a little disappointed in this episode because the finale from season 2 was so good. It seemed to lack much of the action that I usually look for in a premiere and was a dropoff from this past Monday’s Prison Break. However, I did like how it was more cerebral in the sense that we got some insight into who “The Others” are and where they were when the plane crashed. Look for the rest of the main cast to return next week when the focus shifts back to the main camp and Hurley returns without his three buddies.

Prison Break Episode 7 Recap

Intro - Buried

So this is the last week before a month-long hiatus for the MLB playoffs before Prison Break returns on October 30th. The good thing is that this week was a good one. We’ve seen a few deaths with Veronica and Abruzzi getting killed off, but this week we have a pair of deaths to characters that have had an impact this season. For Haywire fans out there, he makes his second appearance in a row (although I have no idea what he’s doing). Lastly we get to see what they are going to do with Tweener now that Agent Mahone has caught him.

This episode has probably been the most exhilarating one of the season so far. With multiple deaths and numerous points of deception, you never really know when the writers will kill off another character (it’s getting to be as shocking as the ones in 24, but not at their level yet). I’m especially looking forward to how Agent Mahone will continue Michael’s trail and if Sara Tancredi will figure out what all those paper cranes mean. The good thing about taking a hiatus is that now I have lots of time to write the upcoming recaps for Lost Season 3 so look out for them coming soon.

Lost Returns! Season 3 Premiere Tonight!

Lost Returns!

It’s been more than 4 long months since the finale of season 2, but tonight Lost returns for another exciting season. While we’ve still got Prison Break to satisfy our TV-watching habits on Monday, but Wednesdays have been empty just waiting for our favorite show to get back into the groove.

As we left off last season, not pushing the button had a devastating effect on the entire island. Locke was dead wrong, but the side-effect has now allowed outsiders to locate the island. Will we introduce even more characters? Are the writers ever going to tie up any of the loose ends in the story? I guess we’ll just have to watch. As with Prison Break, I’ll be putting up weekly recaps of Lost with pictures and everything. (Yes, only shows like these get my special attention to write about them :))
