Continuing with the development of this blog, I’ve tweaked and edited it by adding a few more cool plugins and creating a new smiley set to replace the default one. The gallery is now a bit more functional and a lot easier to administrate. Hopefully I can get some more content in there as well. As for the smilies, if you have used trillian before, you should be familiar with the new set I made. I probably missed a few of them, but the ones I use are activated.
If anyone has been following this blog so far (I think I’m the only one… ) then you’ve probably also noticed a full tagging system for posts, the random quote at the top of the page, and the neat spoiler plugin used in my Lost recap post. Anyway, look forward to more photos, recaps, and useless posts (all one or two of you).
Today I customized the CSS code for more suitable colors instead of the lavender that the original theme had. I also added some web badges to the bottom of the sidebar. So far everything is looking pretty good, but I want to add a custom image to the top as well as scrounge around for that spoiler plugin.
Tonight is also the season finale of the hit TV show Prison Break so make sure you watch it. I’ll probably be posting a recap of it either tomorrow or Wednesday as well as some insight on the 24 episode following Prison Break. Unfortunately there’s a Presidential Address on Immigration at the scheduled Prison Break/24 block so everything is bumped back 20-30 minutes.
Last thing, Good Luck to everyone at UMD on their finals. :)
Edit [5.16.06]: Found a really good ‘spoiler’ plugin (edited it for XHTML validity) and got the random quote generator to work perfectly. There probably won’t be many coding changes from now on except for maybe a new plugin every so often if I find a use for one.
Edit [5.17.06]: Modded the theme code a little to include the posting times of both my posts and everyone else’s comments.
Edit [5.19.06]: Fully converted a new theme (K2) to my liking and added a bunch of new plugins.
So after working on getting a new theme and editing the CSS for it, I finally have something that looks pretty decent. There are still a few little things that I’d like to add/edit, but I’m probably going to work on it some more tomorrow night or Tuesday.
Anyway, I’ll hopefully find a few more plugins that will make this blog that much better. I’m thinking of finding a spoiler plugin so when I make a comment or overview on a recently aired TV show that it won’t ruin it for those who haven’t seen it yet.
