Ninja Yankees Fan

Just saw this on TV while watching game 2 of the Yankees vs. Angels ALCS game.

A little bonus animation for a Rivera strikeout.

And another animation for the other Rivera strikeout.

Game-tying homer for A-Rod!

Francisco Cervelli’s rally cap in the bottom of the 13th works!

Yankees vs. Angels ALCS Game 1

Good start for the Yankees in game 1 of the ALCS.  Lead-off hits by Jeter and Damon, sac-fly by A-Rod, then a big dropped pop-up between Chone Figgins and Erick Aybar to score the second run.  Looking good after one inning.

Did you get your tickets? To what? The gun show.

Saw this last night on Baseball Tonight during the recap of the Yankees vs. Orioles game.

Don Wakamatsu Becomes the First Asian-American Manager in MLB History

Don Wakamatsu, a 45-year-old Japanese-American, has become the manager of the Seattle Mariners.  Formerly a minor leaguer and a bench coach, Mr. Wakamatsu is the first Asian-American manager in any of the four major sports (MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL).  I’ve always believed that the Mariners would be the most likely team to hire an Asian coach because of all the Japanese stars like Ichiro, Kenji Johjima, and Kazuhiro Sasaki that have been through their system.  Not only that, but the team itself is owned by Nintendo and has many ties to the Japanese market.  It is a little ironic that Mr. Wakamatsu probably knows less Japanese than Bobby Valentine though.  Anyway good luck in fixing the worst team in baseball.  がんばれ若松さん!
